Say you want me was released a day early on Amazon and I’m so excited that it was because I was able to start and finish the book the same day and now I can enjoy taking my kids trick or treating and focus all my attention on them having fun and taking our time instead rushing them so I could get home and dig into Wyatt. This was a 5 star read. Corrine had you laughing and wanting to yell all in the same chapter. There was a point where my heart literally broke for Angie and Wyatt and I was near tears and I’m not one to cry while reading. There were times where Angie was being so stupid I wanted to slap some sense into her. If she wasn’t going to let Wyatt in I was going to take him off her hands. The Wyatt we see with Angie has all the qualities of the perfect man. He’s kind and thoughtful, protective and caring. You fall in love with him instantly. Corrine had me loving Wyatt from the cover alone, reading the book has made me fall hard for Wyatt, who is now my all time favorite book boyfriend, sorry Jackson. Cowboy trumps SEALS.

Down Shift
So I finished Down Shift today. I was scared to read it, having a hard time picturing Zander as a grown man when I keep seeing the scared little boy from Driven. I bought the bullet and read it because I agreed to post a review on my blog and because let’s face it a book written by K. Bromberg can’t sit in my kindle not read. As usual for Kristy she didn’t disappoint with this book. Gone is the scared little boy from Driven and he’s replaced with an angry confused adult who reminds me of his adopted father Colton. They share a connection only children of abuse and drug addicts share and it gives them a special bond. This same connection is shared between Getty and Zander although Getty’s abuse was different but brought the two together when they were both running away from different things. To watch their love evolve before they themselves realized it brought back the memories of Colton and Rylee doing the same. What a great read this was and I’m so glad I didn’t let my fear hold me back from reading this one.

“You don’t know anything about me.” My voice is slight but strong, my need to assert myself front and center despite his calling me on the carpet.
“That’s where you’re wrong, Socks. I might not know where you’re from or why I ruffled your feathers today, but I know you’re stronger than you give yourself credit for. Whatever it is that you ran from back home, you did it. You got out and are making it on your own. That takes guts and you deserve mad props for that. I know you like things messy and are goddamn cute when you’re tipsy. I know you’re stubborn as hell and gorgeous as fuck. And that your kiss tastes like an aged whiskey: something I want to sip slowly, feel on my lips, savor on my tongue, and take my time with before I get drunk on it.” With a lift of his eyebrows and a nod of his head, he walks past me, leaving me with my mouth agape and eyes wide.
I can’t move. Just stand staring at the door in front of me as I try to process what he just said, what he meant by it, and yet there’s no use because we just had a whole one-sided conversation and that need to banter with him is gone. Lost to the tingling in my lower belly and the wild spinning of my thoughts.
“Oh, and, Getty?” Zander calls out to me from the kitchen, refusing to continue until I turn to face him, standing there unabashedly shirtless. “If you ever call me pretty again, we’re gonna have a real problem. I guarantee you there is nothing pretty about me.”
I almost smile at the fact that out of all of the crappy things I said to him, that is the one that bugged him the most.
“You are kind of pretty, though,” I murmur, unable to resist goading him further, needing to try to get us back on an even playing field. Because hell if right now I don’t feel like I’m on the low end of the teeter-totter.
His immediate response? A snort to signify that his chiseled abs and the tall, dark, and handsome thing he’s got going on are nothing more than average.
“Last warning, Socks.” His eyes flash with mirth. And what looks like desire.
An unexpected part of me—the one who usually hides and doesn’t ever take a chance—wants to say it again. Just to see what he’d do if I did.
“So damn pretty.” I don’t know who’s more shocked at my comment, him or me, but we stand there for a moment, gazes locked, unspoken words warring across the distance between us.

The constant drip into the bucket in the hallway serves as a metronome to this anticipatory silence we are dancing in. The goose bumps on his chest are the only thing I can focus on.

From the want of something I don’t quite understand myself and couldn’t ever put into words. Freaked out my his actions Arna accidentally spills her coffee on herself when another sexy as sin man, Anthony, comes to her rescue. He takes her back to his office so she can shower and change out of her wet clothes. A relationship blossoms and Anthony turns out to be the perfect man.
I enjoyed reading this book. It didn’t keep my focus like her last book but I was determined to see if Arna would end up going against what she believed and get married and have a family.
I disliked the heroine in this book. Always being the one to make contact first. I found her annoying and couldn’t understand what the hero, Anthony saw in her. She was being the needy woman men hate but it seems Anthony diggs that in a woman. In the end she found her Mr perfect as we are acostome to in romance novels. This book was more like a fiction than a nonfiction we like to get wrapped up in and I kept reading because it was different. It’s a recommended read if your looking for something different.

This was an amazing book; I’m still dealing with a book hangover 3 days later. In my imagination Carter is real and he’s my man not Kendall’s. This book was full of humor, romance and it ripped you apart but in true Penelope and Vi fashion you are put back together. These authors have become some of my favorite. Playboy Pilot is the perfect book to dive into if you’re dealing with a book hangover, but be prepared to be in a book hangover once you’re finished. Pucks, Sticks, and Diapers by Toni Aleo was a cute mini novel about an NHL hockey couple. Reading the mini book I felt like I was missing part of they story so I’m currently investigating if there is a book or series that I missed. Toni’s writing has peaked my interest and I’m going to add her to my list of authors to look into more books to read.
I love hockey and will read just about any sports romance novel out there, hot athletes, yes please! Max: A Cold Fury Hockey Novel by Sawyer Bennett peaked my interest. From reading the first and only chapter available, I immediately needed to add the book to my to-read list on goodreads, which is there where I found it’s a 6th book from the series Cold Fury Hockey. I have 5 books to have read before this one releases December 13th, my preorder is already in on amazon!
There’s 2 additional epilogues from Lauren Blakely, I skipped over them as I haven’t read the books they are from yet so I will have to remember to come back to it once I’ve read them.
The main reason I purchased Night Shift was to read the first 3 chapters of K. Bromberg’s Sweet Cheeks. I absolutely LOVED her Driven series and additional books she wrote based off characters found in the main series. No matter how many books I’ve read and loved since reading this series, my thoughts often drift back to Colton and Riley. Sweet Cheek’s is not a driven book, it’s a new book with new characters and I had to see if it was Kristy’s amazing writing that I fell in love with or was it really hoping for glimpses of Colton I was looking for. The verdict is in, it’s Kristy’s writing. Only 3 chapters in and I love the main female character, Saylor. She’s the owner and main baker at Sweet Cheeks bakery. 6 months prior she ended her engagement to her fiance, whom she’d been with for 5 years, just 2 weeks before the wedding. She’s been invited to his wedding of his rebound girl. In the heat of the moment she RSVP’s yes to his upcoming wedding. Her brother, who sounds hot as hell, suggests that she does actually go to the wedding with a date and show all the friends who took her ex’s side after the breakup that she’s happy and in love in an effort to help her failing business. Only problem is Saylor is not happily in love. That’s where Hayes comes in. The third chapter introduces us to Hayes and who is he is – mega movie star! He’s working on the set of a movie being directed by the Andy Weston. The book is set to release November 14, 2016 and I just might have to take a vacation day to stay home and read it on release day!
